Specialization in Information and Communication Technology

Introduction

The fundamental educational objective of specialization within information and communication technology is to provide participants with broad technical understanding of latest and emerging technologies in the field of information technology. The concentration provides participants with a unique edge in the current complex marketplace. Participants will be able to develop highly demand IT knowledge and skills currently being demanded by highly connected global e-economies.

Admission Criteria

The Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS) is a four years degree program that focusses on offering fundamental concepts followed by highly specialized and hands-on skills required by the real corporate world. The program is tailored around the specialized areas of professional domains comprising of human resources, marketing, supply chain, banking & finance and project management, education management, alongside offering information and communication technology that are related applied knowledge and skills and contemporary needs of the industry.

General Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Bachelor of Professional Studies:

  • Intermediate or equivalent (12 years) qualification with minimum 45% in Intermediate and no 3rd division in previous academic career as per UMT criteria
  • In case of O Level, A Level, American High School Diploma or any other equivalent foreign qualification, an equivalence certificate from IBCC is mandatory
  • In case the foreign diploma/transcript is in any language other than English or Urdu, an officially translated copy of the diploma/transcript is mandatory
  • An officially translated copy is the one verified by the degree awarding institution, respective foreign ministry or an authorized public notary
  • 50% passing marks in Admission Test and Interview are required for admission.
