SPA 's International Collaboration

We are pleased to share with you that British Computer Society (BCS), the chartered institute of IT; UK has approved SPA-UMT as an accredited study centre. We are the first institution in Pakistan to achieve this status.

BCS, the chartered institute of IT; UK is one of the oldest computer societies of UK. It fosters links between experts from industry, academia and business to promote new thinking, education and knowledge sharing. Through continuing professional development and a series of respected qualifications, the Institute seeks to promote professional practice tuned to the demands of business. It provides practical support and information services to its members and volunteer communities around the world.

Students can benefit by certifying their IT skills through BCS in the following areas

  • Certificate (BCS Level 4 Certificate in IT): Information Systems, Software Development, and Computer & Network Technology
  • Diploma (BCS Level 5 Diploma in IT): Database Systems, Object Orientated Programming, Professional Issues in IS Practice, Software Engineering 1
  • Professional Graduate Diploma (BCS Level 6 Professional Graduate Diploma in IT): Advanced Database Management Systems, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering 2, Web Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Design Methods, Realising the User Interface.
