Professional Diploma in Marketing

The aim of this Level 6 qualification is to provide you, as a practising marketer, with relevant, contemporary marketing content to equip you for the current global landscape. Successful completion of the CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing will give you the knowledge, skills and understanding to perform at a management level and to carry out an essential and successful professional marketing role within the workplace.

Successful completion of the CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing will give you the knowledge, skills and understanding to perform at a management level and to carry out an essential and successful professional marketing role within the workplace.

Who is it for?

The Diploma in Professional Marketing is aimed at marketers working in an operational, supervisory or management role, who wants to develop their marketing knowledge and skills across a range of areas.

What will you learn?

1. Situation analysis

  • Understand how to analyse an organisation’s current and future external environment.
  • Understand how to analyse an organisation’s current and future internal environment.

2. Planning

  • Analyse relevant information to recommend and inform strategic decision making.
  • Develop a strategic marketing plan to realise organisational objectives.

3. Implementation and control

  • Manage resources to deliver the strategic marketing plan.
  • Monitor, measure and adapt the marketing plan for continuous improvement.

One or more of the following is required to gain entry to this qualification:

  • CIM Level 4 Professional Certificate in Marketing or CIM Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing (syllabus 2014).
  • Any relevant Level 4 qualification.
  • Foundation Degree in Business with Marketing.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognised university, with at least one third of credits coming from marketing content (ie 120 credits in Bachelor's degrees or 60 credits in Master's degrees)
  • Professional practice (suggested two years marketing in an operational role) plus diagnostic assessment on to Level 6.

If English isn’t your first language, you will also need to demonstrate you’ve achieved one of the following English language qualifications within the last two years:

  • IELTS Academic Module with an overall score of 6.5 (each component pass mark must be 6.0 or above).
  • Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English grade B or above.

CIM will consider other equivalent alternatives.

A variety of assessment methodology is used for the CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing depending on the modules you choose. Assessment methods used within the qualification are driven by the needs of employers and practitioners, relevant and appropriate for business needs.

Face-to-face learning - We fully understand the time challenges of working life. Studying part time at evening classes or weekends can help get the right balance.

Distance learning - You can study remotely, with access to tutors and important resources via phone, e-mail and web.

Blended learning - This increasingly popular option allows you to complete your qualification through intensive online learning which is supported by prepared material, tutorials and face-to-face workshops.

Eligibility and Admission Criteria:

Applicants must have Bachelor's degree in order to be eligible for admission in Professional Certification and Diploma.

Total Fee of this diploma is £890 (Includes Tuition Fee & CIM Assessment and studying Member fee)
