Rationale

The Master in Fashion and Luxury Management is multi-disciplinary program for dynamic individuals who wish to enhance both their creative and managerial skills within the world of fashion. Through a combination of theory and hands-on practice, this program turns students into professionals who understand the language and rules of the fashion system and who have expertise in brand management and communications. This program is designed with the contribution of fashion industry professionals.

The program’s focus is towards individual development of practical skills combined with a contextual awareness of cultural and practical skills. You will discover a whole range of opportunities as diverse as clothing design, fashion marketing, fashion merchandising, modeling, and apparel design. School of Professional Advancement emphasis on real-world education means you can enter the job market armed with a professional portfolio and relevant skills set.

Program Objectives

The program’s objective is to enable students to achieve their career ambitions by giving them regular access to experienced fashion and luxury specialists who have both strong academic skills and practical in-company experience, improving and expanding participating student’s career prospects by providing them with training in fashion and luxury management as well as understanding the issues in international trends and working across cultures. For those who may be working or studying outside the field of art, fashion and luxury, this program provides the opportunity for a change in career direction.

Admission Criteria

A prospective applicant to a 16 Years equivalent Masters program must have:

  1. 14 Years qualification with 50% marks in case of annual system in the degree awarding institution.
  2. 14 Years qualification with 2.0/4.0 CGPA in case of semester system in the degree awarding institution.
  3. In case of an equivalent foreign qualification, an equivalent certificate from Higher Education Commission is mandatory.
  4. In case the foreign degree/transcript is in any language other than English or Urdu, an officially translated copy of the degree/transcript is mandatory.
  5. An officially translated copy is the one verified by the degree awarding institution, respective foreign ministry or an authorized public notary.
